Congratulations to the girls softball team!
"Any time you have a special team, you have a lot of special players.  The team was led by three special senior captains:  Amanda Maldonado, Liana Conticello and Caitlin McKenna.  They provided the leadership, work ethic and commitment necessary to be successful.

The team’s talent and work ethic were the reasons they were champions.  They knew how to have fun but were able to flip the switch and work hard.

It was my honor to coach this team, but I was just along for the ride…they did all the work!"  - Coach Aughey

Additionally, the team, with strong contributions from juniors, Theo Han and Phil Plucinski plus freshmen David Grant, placed 8th overall in a field of 46 teams at the same State Tournament.  Other accomplishments included winning the American Division for a second consecutive year, posting a 13 win 2 loss match record this season, a 27 win 3 loss match record over the past two seasons, and placing 6th in the Bergen County Bowling Tournament, the highest finish for a Fort Lee bowling team in the County Tournament.  Coach Rich Bello attributes the teams success to hard work during the off season, teammates belief and respect for each other and their ability to bowl well in pressure situations.
